Gordon was born in 1954 and was educated at Grammer School in the North of England and Trent University in Nottingham. He trained with Grant Thornton in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982, becoming a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in December 1993. He spent a short period as the financial controller of a manufacturing company in the north-east before joining Jackson Fox at the end of 1983.
Gordon has been with Jackson Fox for all of his professional career in Jersey and became a Principal in 1988.
Gordon is involved in all aspects of the business, including auditing and accounting and advises a wide ranging client base including Insurance Brokers, Independent Financial Advisers, Travel Agents, Hotel groups and retail businesses. He also specialises in tax advice and tax planning services as well as business start up advice and financial planning.
Gordon is also a director of Fairway Trust Limited.
Gordon is married with a young family so his personal interests are restricted to impersonating cash dispensers, taxi drivers and sports coaches. He occasionally plays golf if it does not interfere with any of the foregoing.
